FUNDAY SUNDAY LIPSTICK SERIES
It's Sunday, and I have an anxious 8 year old looking to do something fun. This indoor project can be for kids, or for your creative self. You can come up with unique, one of a kind colors for your lipstick collection.
We made non-toxic lipstick out of Crayola Crayons in the Lavender Birch kitchen. Some of your favorite lipsticks are known to have small levels of lead, as posted by the FDA. This is a fun and easy project. You can mix colors and create original shades that you would typically never find at the store. It's also fun for young kids to create the spectrum of the rainbow. I'm already thinking of colors for this halloween!

CRAYON LIPSTICK RECIPE
1/2 teaspoon Apricot Kernel Oil
1/2 Teaspoon Coconut Oil
1/2 of a crayon
3-5 drops of FLAVOR food grade essential oil
You can create a double boiler if you do not own one by grabbing a pot, and placing a pyrex glass bowl on the rim on top of the pot. Boil the water in the pot and place the Apricot Kernel oil, coconut oil and half a crayon in the pyrex. Once melted you can add your essential oil flavoring.
You can buy empty lip balm tubes or small plastic containers at your local craft store. Be Creative!

Last step, add your favorite food grade essential oil and pour into a lip balm container.
